Journal policy on the use of AI tools

The Journal of Phytopharmacology (TJP) does not recognize artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including ChatGPT or other large language models (LLMs), as authors, as they cannot assume ethical or legal responsibility for their work. AI tools may be used only for supportive purposes, such as language editing or formatting in accordance with COPE and ICMJE recommendations and authors must disclose any use of AI tools to the editors. Authors are fully accountable for the content of their submissions, including any portions created with AI tools, and are responsible for addressing any ethical concerns or breaches arising from their use.
