Editorial Policies

The Journal of Phytopharmacology (TJP) strictly considers original submissions that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Prior or duplicate publications are not permitted, including abstracts published in conference proceedings. Authors are responsible for disclosing any prior submissions or reports that could be considered duplicate or prior publication to TJP.

All manuscripts submitted to journal undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability, originality, and ethical compliance, followed by a rigorous double-blind peer review process in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, scientific quality, ethical soundness, and relevance to the journal’s scope, without discrimination based on nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or personal beliefs.

Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, have not been previously published (except on recognized preprint servers), and are not under consideration elsewhere. They are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work and must avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and infringement of copyright or third-party rights. All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Editors ensure the fair, unbiased, and confidential handling of manuscripts and make independent decisions free from publisher or commercial influence. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, confidential, and constructive evaluations, disclose any conflicts of interest, and report ethical concerns.

Research involving human participants or animals must adhere to applicable ethical standards and include ethics committee approval and informed consent where required. The journal treats allegations of misconduct seriously and may take appropriate action, including corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, to uphold the integrity of the scholarly record.
