Aim of the experiment: The present study was designed to investigate the anti-arthritic potential of the plant Hibiscus hispidissimus. Materials and Methods: The aerial parts of the plant was collected, dried and extracted (maceration) with ethanol. Preliminary phytochemical studies were carried out. All the in-vitro models i.e. inhibition of protein denaturation, membrane stabilization and proteinase inhibition were carried out with standard reference drug diclofenac sodium.
